“What kind of reader desperately needs this book?”
This question really made me think. After all, I write primarily for entertainment, and because of that, I don’t think in terms of anyone needing my book. However, I think this book will speak to someone who’s made a mistake—maybe a big mistake—and thinks that it is fatal and that they can’t ever recover from it or be redeemed. Sometimes, when we really screw up, like Sohalie does in the book, we think we’ve done something unforgiveable and that in fact we don’t deserve to be forgiven. Maybe we won’t be forgiven by the person we’ve wronged, but we always have access to God’s forgiveness, and often we, like Sohalie, must learn to forgive ourselves too. Sometimes that can be hardest of all.
